When She First Appeared on TV, EVERYBODY Mocked Her Teeth - Look At Her Now!

When Gemma Swift was six, she suffered a horrific accident that seriously damaged her front teeth. From then on out, Gemma had to deal with bullies throughout her entire life, teasing her for her appearance. Although she had dealt with this bullying all her life, the dawn of social media made it seriously debilitating.
As a result, she appeared on The Jeremy Kyle Show, a British version of The Jerry Springer Show, to confront her boyfriend’s ex who was giving her a particularly hard time.
When Gemma first appeared on the show in 2015 to confront the woman, who was cruelly making fun of her and her appearance, it only made things a million times worse. At the time, Gemma pleaded for the ex-girlfriend to stop harassing her, but her plea only encouraged a firestorm of negative attention.
The internet, in all its vindictive glory, decided to side with the mean woman. Twitter and various other social media channels exploded, attacking Gemma for her teeth and relentlessly mocking her appearance.
Not only did they make fun of the way she looked, people went as far as to say that she would be attacked in the streets for her teeth. These threats forced Gemma to stay inside for weeks, out of fear.
She must have felt so helpless. Internet trolling is basically impossible to stop once it’s begun and Gemma certainly didn’t have the money to pay for the expensive procedure she would need to restore her teeth. So, luckily, the show that put her on the spot decided to fund that surgery.

In response to the public’s reaction, The Jeremy Kyle Show decided to shell out over $12,000 to fund a complete dental makeover for Gemma.
After the makeover, Gemma appeared again on the show to reveal her new smile. Finally, Gemma received the response from the public that she deserved and she was praised for the transformation.
Most importantly, Gemma was finally happy with her appearance and is more confident than ever because she is now comfortable opening her mouth and smiling. We’re so glad that the show took responsibility and decided to help Gemma with the one thing that’s plagued her her whole life.
She looks so amazing after the surgery, and her surgeon Lance came on the show with his patient to detail how the procedure was done. Apparently, Gemma is only five or six hours into her surgery; she would need a few more hours of work and a lot of recovery time, but she is on the road to having her teeth completely repaired.
Truly, though, Gemma knows at the end of the day who her real friends are. She’s vowed to ignore her haters from here on out and only spend energy on people who see the real her. A great lesson, especially coming from someone who has know a life of hardship!
